Trekking in Andharban: The Dark Forest 01SEP2018

After my Trek to Rajmachi I had made up my mind to go on at least one trek every month. In my search for a new trail I landed on a site called "EventsHigh" that promotes and provides booking services to several Trek organising groups.

I came across a Trek planned to the Andarbans and was intrigued by the Name and description of the Andarbans provided in the write up. I had no one to accompany me on this trip so i decided to hit it alone with the MPA group. Walk a new trail and make some new friends along the way.

The Andarban Trial was long but beautiful all along. The trail is dotted with several seasonal waterfall and provides scenic view of the valley for most part. The Andarbans offer both Mystic and exhilaration as you walk through the blinding Mist that covers the forest in the Monsoons. Watch my VLOG to share in my experience.

Trek to Rajmachi

My last trip to Rajmachi was almost a decade ago in January 2008. Thats a long time and a lot can change in so much time.

Our plan was to leave straight after completing a Friday Night shift and joining other fellow trekkers on the way at Dadar and Thane. We had reservation up to Lonavla Railway Station and we had a SUMO vehicle booked to continue our journey inwards to Fanasrai.

Our actual trek starts from Fanasrai post breakfast.

Rajmachi Fort - A Precursor

My last trip to Rajmachi was almost a decade ago in January 2008. Thats a long time and a lot can change in so much time.

Our plan was to leave straight after completing a Friday Night shift and joining other fellow trekkers on the way at Dadar and Thane. We had reservation up to Lonavla Railway Station and we had a SUMO vehicle booked to continue our journey inwards to Fanasrai.

Our actual trek starts from Fanasrai post breakfast.

It has been a while since I have been on a real trek and the anticipation of being on a trail soon was exciting.

Trippin' High On Life

First I must apologies for literally absconding from my own blog for a good 6 years.

But my friend’s life is a journey that can surprise you, stun you, amaze you... It can fill your eyes with tears and laughter at the same time.

This particular blog isn’t about where I have been rather it’s about where Life has taken me. I already introduced you to my wife Perpetua in my last blog, and this trip is just us. Married life can be busy as hell but it’s also so beautiful that you wouldn’t wish for heaven.

Between early morning omelettes and weekend laundry business we found time to fill our lives with interesting memories. I believe money only pays for bills but what truly makes us rich are the blessings and memories we amass as we grow. That makes me and Peppy the richest couple on earth.

And our most treasured gems, Azriel and Zuriel have added heart-warming joy to our lives. Watching them grow makes my life look like a fairy tale. Feels like it can't get better than this, but I know with them it will only get better each passing moment.

So here I am. Started this blog as a bachelor, then got married and now return with more tales as a Father. Bless you all. Have a lovely trip on Life.
